Becoming an Illustrator

In class, we learnt about Gus Hunter. Gus Hunter is an illustrator. He draws pictures to match stories. So after we learnt about him, the article gave us some of Gus' Tips. Using those tips, we had to create an illustration of one of the stories we wrote. I did an illustration on my story Hello? I'll give you 2 of the tips in the book.

- Visualise what you want to draw
- Draw what you see, not what you think you see.

I hope you like my drawing!

P.S I'm sorry if you can't really see. I took this picture on my computer

  1. Hi Tweeny,

I really like about how you have explained about what our task was. I also like how you made your picture really creative and added a lot of detail to your drawing.

Maybe next time you could explain what you have drawn, so that we know. But you did good!
    I really liked your drawing.

  2. Hey Tweeny!

I thought that your drawing was fantastic! I really like how you put a lot of detail and colours in the background and I can see that you are very artistic as well!

Something that you could work on is putting in what this drawing is about, so talking about what part of the story this is so that it could make a little more sense because I didn't really know what was it supposed to represent but either than that this is great!

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something thoughtful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
