ANZAC Diary Entry

WALT use descriptive language
 This week, We read a book called ANZAC Violin. The book was about one of the soldiers named Alexander Atkins took his violin to war with him. He played the violin for the other soldiers during the bad times. In the book, the author added a part from his diary which was describing how the war was. So our teacher gave us the task to write a diary entry using key words from the book. We had to use an attributes chart To brainstorm ideas for what we were gonna write. It also had to be real, we couldn't talk about unicorns or dragons. We were allowed to make as gory as we wanted but it also had to be appropriate. Then we got started on to our writing. So here is my diary entry.

As I lay wounded, the awful sound of the screams went into my ears and into my head. All I could see was the injured people who were dying. The thought that I could be just like them haunted me. I could see the blood gushing out of corpses and people collapsing to the ground. I could hear the gunshots being fired and the people shouting. It was very dirty and a bit muddy but it didn’t matter. I took a deep breath and inhaled a bunch of dust. The painful sound of the bullets scared me. As I tried to slowly crawl away, Someone landed dead in front of me. I gagged at the rancid smell of the dead corpse and went around it. I got up and started to stealthily walked. I could see bloody dead corpses in ditches half buried and people slowly dying.

Can you think of a Sentence?

In class, we are learning about descriptive writing. Mrs Lee gave us a slideshow full of pictures. We had to come up with a sentence that would describe it best. E.g as I stepped outside, my eyes were filled with the sun that glistened. The next day, we had to come up with sentences like similes, idioms, alliteration etc. I really enjoy writing so this activity was great! ( This is not finished but don't expect anything more from this slideshow.)

The Big Jump

In class, we had to rewrite the story in our own words. My group's story was "The Big Jump". I found this kind of hard because I did want to change the story a bit but I couldn't. This story is about a boy named Big Daddy (Funny right?) and he is afraid of the flying fox.

The chills that ran down my spine as I attempted to go down the flying fox. I was sick to my stomach. I couldn't DARE go down this flying fox. "I don't have a death wish" I said to myself. But then Tim came up to the platform and tried to talk me into it but I couldn't. What if I fell? What if I get stuck? I didn't l know what to do because I was so scared. But then he told Sandra, the instructor, to do a tandem. He put a harness on and rode down with me. I nearly wet myself because we were going SO FAST. Once we got to the bottom, We hit a few tyres. It really hurt but I think it hurt more for Tim. Tim was barely breathing and crying. "What happened" Everyone was asking. " I had to help Tim, he was to scared, he nearly wet himself. I didn't want to make myself seem less tough. I'm glad Tim helped me from that horrific trip to the ground.

My Revenge

The date was the 13th of september, my 345th birthday was going to be my last. I decided it was time to fight, my mortal enemy. I am forbidden to say his name. All I can say is that he took my fame and they threw me away from their land and now it is time to fight. It is my birthday today and I was left on this land for 45 years. So I finally fixed my thrusters and decided to fly to their land and show them how it feels to be unwanted. I went to the mall where he performs.


“HEY!” I growled. “YOU WILL FIGHT ME IN A BATTLE OF FAME”. “ And who are you?” ________ said. I grew angrier and angrier by the minute. Everytime he spoke I felt anger. “YOU KNOW WHO I AM” I yelled.”I WAS TRAPPED ON A ISLAND FOR 45 YEARS AND YOU PUT ME THERE”. I threw a punch at him to show I am ready to fight. The battle began. It felt like forever that we were fighting.”IT’S EITHER FIGHT OR DIE TRYING” I said with confidence. finally got my revenge and won. “ You are no match for greatness like me” I said. I could not believe it. And this was the end of my revenge.

The Waterslide

 Waterslide 

 I couldn’t go on the Waterslide but I saw the howls of laughter from the children who did. Once they had slid down they came out like muddy pigs, it was hilarious. Everyone swam down in different positions with screams of excitment. I was hysterical.

Team Building

Team Building 

 The time had come to do team building. It was all about trust, planning and communication. We did 3 activities, Figure of 8, climbing wall and there was one with no such name so I’ll just call it “the pole game “. The first one we did was the figure of 8. We had to go around the poles in the shape of an eight in the shortest amount of time. I didn’t know what we had to do. I didn’t even have the slightest idea of what our plan was. But then after a few times we figured out how to do it. Someone had to put their hand up while 5 people went under, then someone put there hand down and 4 people go over it and repeat the first thing you did. Our fastest time was 20 seconds. But the other teams got 15 seconds but thats okay. The next activity was the pole game. You had to get everyone on and off the pole. I thought I was too heavy because I had to step on Jamie and I thought I was going to break her. But she was really strong and I got on and off the wooden pole. The last activity was the most challenging. You had to get everyone over the wall by boosting them up. I was terrified what if the dropped me. It was my turn to get boosted up. I stood on their hands and they boosted me up. My sides hurt but I did it. When everyone had a turn it was time to leave. I was about to shout for joy until Simon said “ I was going to drop you on purpose”.

The Super - Pill

I was picking up rubbish on a normal day until I found a strange bean, it was glowing so picked it up and as I walked to my class I tripped and hit my head. When I woke up I found a creepy person looking at me kind of like that movie I was watching of a clown. creepy, right. “ Hi Tweeny” said the creature. “ Okay 1. who are you? 2. how do you know me” I said with surprised look on my face. “ I know many things one thing i know is that pink glowing pill you are holding gives you the ability to make someone have an undying love for you with a touch of your hand” he said. “ also my name is Mr Pill”. “ you only have 24 hours to bring back everyone because Mr Dimension made a portal and put everyone in it and they are in grave danger so it’s up to you” Mr Pill said. “Okay” I said “also were you watching me the whole time”. “Hehe yeah” Mr Pill said. “So take the pill now and touch me” he said. I said eww no, but he said it was to train. “Also if you touch me the second time, it’ll wear off. So I touched him and he smiled at me then I touched him again and he stopped. “ So that is how it works” said Mr Pill. I have to go but remember they count on you to save them. Then he disappeared into thin air. So then I went out of the school and saw someone, only one person there. The cutest boy in school, Robert Johnson. So I called out to him, and he came running to me and asked me where is everyone and I said they got lost in a dimension and I have to save them. He wanted to help and I said okay. “Okay let me touch you” I said. What happened with Mr Pill happened with robert but it was somewhat satisfying. Anyway... Ahem I touched him again and went to the portal, which was over the mall roof. I spread out my wings (Also yes I had wings because I am cool like that). And flew to the mall. I told Robert to stay outside but he said that I might die so I kissed his head and said I will be back. I went in and everyone was in a bubble floating around and Mr Dimension was sleeping so I popped all the bubbles and he woke up. “WHO ARE YOU” he said. “I am Tweeny, The Queen Of Love” I yelled.

My Neighbour

There are three important rules you should live by to survive. First, Always look over your shoulder, Second, never trust anyone and third Beware your Neighbours. I was Walking home on friday from school, and I saw my neighbour, Mr Bean. “howdy” he said. “ hi?” I Said with a confused face. He has never spoken to me before. “I made a clubhouse here, want to see it? I said yes. “ I don’t see anything “ I said with disbelief. “You have to be more observant”. I went closer and I saw a door leading to underground. I went inside and he gave me something to eat and drink. “It is getting late i need to go” I Said. “ I don’t want you to go”. I panicked, I was so scared. I wondered what might happen, Then I rushed to the ladder and tried to climb up and he was pulling me down and I hit my head on the floor and I pushed him and climbed out and I was in pain but i had to keep going because he rushed after me. And I saw my sister and ran to her and I told her what happened and we ran inside and he was pounding on the door and my dad was keeping it shut while my mum called the police. I put my family in danger so I kept thinking what to do. I found my Dad’s Shooting room where the guns are. I grabbed a gun and shot him. Then the police came and arrested him. I felt way better. And I will never forget that dead look on his face.

Information Report

My Family

My family name is Paunga. My family members names are Fatafehi, Telesia, Courtney, Michaela and my Mum and Dad, Tweeny and Moale and me, Tweeny. My siblings are responsible and kind to me.

 We just moved in a new house a couple of months ago and that means we have to keep it tidy. My older sisters remind me and my other two sisters to keep the house clean.

 My whole family has work except for Fatafehi and Telesia. My two older sisters work at the Kathmandu factory in Lyttelton under the bridge. They put stickers on the price tags. My mum works in the Duty Free Shop and she sells perfume and alcohol and she brings home samples and she gives me perfume too, and my dad. My Dad works at the Meatworks but I do not know what his work is called.

 What my family likes to do together is watch movies. Some movies we have watched as a family is Beauty and the Beast, Hotel Transylvania 3, and Infinity War. We watch movies to get a conversation going and it is like we are giving stars and wishes about the movie.

 Me and my two sisters, Fatafehi and Telesia have special names. My name comes from my mum. Her name is also Tweeny. Telesia is named after my Auntie and Fatafehi is named after the tongan princess. The Tongan Princess is Fatafehi O’Lapaha who my sister is named after.

 I love my family and I can’t wait to grow more memories in the near future.

Mrs Lee the candy snatcher

Mrs Lee the candy snatcher

One day the candy snatcher, Mrs Lee went to the shop at night to steal  a few lollies heaps of delicious lollies. she wore dark clothing so no one would suspect anything. she stole 10 lollipops, 9 chocolate frogs, 8 lemon and lime fruit bursts and 12 of her favourite candies…. raspberry twists. When the shop employee, Tweeny went to the shop she found out it was ROBBED. He called the police and they made a fingerprint check test. They went to the computer to search the owner of the fingerprint, they found out it was Mrs Lee. they immediately went to arrest Mrs Lee. Mrs Lee asked them if she could have one more chance, they said yes. Every time Mrs Lee wanted some candies she would buy them.
