Fake articles, is it real?

Welcome and Welcome back to my blog!
Today, I want to inform you on - fake articles.
What is a fake article? A fake article is something that informs you on something that isn't real or something that is false advertising. for an example, I've made one myself but a FAKE fake article. This is what my class has been working on for Cyber smart. If you find a article and you think it is fake, check the URL! The URL would have .com.co at the end if it is fake. Or there would be misspelling in the name. The one I made has a lot of misspelling but I hope you still understand the words.

Also some have topics that aren't real. For an example, Aliens aren't real so someone seeing one is impossible and made - up. So if it is about aliens, you might want to think again whether it is real or not.If it is too good to be true, it probably is. Lastly, sometimes the title or picture doesn't match the actual text. For an example, We looked at a fake article about what teachers do after school. The picture had people gaming but the text wasn't about that so it was fake.
You have to be careful when looking at articles because it is important to know so that you get the right information. I hoped this helped! Oh, and here is mine!

Newspaper article about Jesus.

This week, we learnt about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We had to make newspaper article about Jesus' baptism. First, we had to read about it and watch the videos that were linked to a google doc. Then, we used a newspaper generator to make the article. This is about what happened after he got baptized and why he got baptized. It isn't that long but I hope you learn from it!

Thank you for looking at my blog!

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit!

This week, My class learnt about the Fruits of the Holy Spirit! The Fruits are Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and lastly Self Control. The Fruits of the Holy Spirit are things that we can show to others to make them feel good. For an example, If we are faithful, You are being a good friend and can be trusted, which makes others feel good and in turn, makes you feel good.

Our lovely teacher gave us a Fruit of the Holy Spirit to write about. The one I was given was kindness! Some people did it in buddies and some people did it by themselves. I did it with a friend :)
We had to write about what it was and what it meant. Kindness is a really important thing. We should always be kind to anyone and everyone! I hope you learnt a thing or 2 about kindness.
Thank you for looking at my work!

Reading Activities

Welcome, Everyone! This is my Reading slideshow. This has all the work that I have been doing in reading time. Some of it is not done and I am still working on it. There isn't much to explain about this so this is it. I read a story with my group and then I do the activities linked to the story. These are the activities i have been doing, but I have skipped some of them because they include drawing and I can't just draw everything in one day so It would take time. Anyway, enough rambling. Here is my slideshow!

More Science!

Today, I tried another experiment. It didn't really work but I can explain what was meant to happen.

So I made a slime out of hand soap and sugar. You can put it in the fridge for 2 days or the freezer for an hour. But when I put it into the freezer it just went all clumpy and icy and did not turn out well. But that's okay!

I have explained what chemical and physical change is in my last post but I can explain it again. Physical change is when a substance changes its form but is still the same substance it was before. Chemical change is when it changes completely. Slime is a chemical change because it changes into a whole other substance. Those are called, Changes in Matter!

Have you ever heard of solids and liquids? A solid is something that is firm and stable in shape. And a liquid is something that can change its form to any shape.
For an example, If you pour water into a glass, it can change its form to fit into the glass. But a solid stays the same shape and form. Slime is special. It is both a solid and a liquid. Slime is a solid because it can keep its shape but can also change its from to fit anything you put it in. This is called States of Matter!

I hope you learnt something on this post. Thank you and Stay Safe!

Science Experiments!

Welcome to my Science Experiment!

Today, our teacher sent my class some work on Changes of Matter. It is about science and we had to choose between 4 different types of science experiments. But first, We watched a video about science  and the difference between physical and chemical change. Physical change is when a substance changes its form but is still the same substance it was before, where chemical change is when a substance changes completely. My experiment is a physical change because it change its form but it was still milk and food coloring.

So the science experiments are:

Chocolate Mug Cake

Color Changing Milks

Bouncing Bubbles.

Milk Plastic Tags.

The one that I did was the Color Changing Milk. You need:

Milk, Food Coloring, Dish Soap and a Cotton Swab. You pour the milk onto a plate and put one drop of 4 different colors of food coloring. Put dish soap on the cotton swab and stick the dish soap side of the cotton swab in the center of the milk, where the food coloring is. Then you will see the change!
Why I think this happened?
I think this happened because of a chemical in the dish soap that the food coloring wants to be separate, just like water and oil. This is just my prediction.

Would you try this experiment?

Thank you,

Tweeny

Maxmillian Kolbe

This Week, We learnt about a man named Maxmillian Kolbe. Maxmillian is a great man who cared for people and you will be able to see that once you read this DLO. We learnt about him and another man, Father Francis Vernon Douglas, because there are people in this world who don't get recognized for their amazing work. They are amazing people with so much potential and they deserve to get recognized.

Something I found easy: Finding the information was and putting it into my own words was a success
Something I found hard: I didn't find anything hard about it because all you have to do is find info, put it into your own words, add a title then your good to go.

Hope you like it!

ANZAC Diary Entry

WALT use descriptive language
This week, We read a book called ANZAC Violin. The book was about one of the soldiers named Alexander Atkins took his violin to war with him. He played the violin for the other soldiers during the bad times. In the book, the author added a part from his diary which was describing how the war was. So our teacher gave us the task to write a diary entry using key words from the book. We had to use an attributes chart To brainstorm ideas for what we were gonna write. It also had to be real, we couldn't talk about unicorns or dragons. We were allowed to make as gory as we wanted but it also had to be appropriate. Then we got started on to our writing. So here is my diary entry.

As I lay wounded, the awful sound of the screams went into my ears and into my head. All I could see was the injured people who were dying. The thought that I could be just like them haunted me. I could see the blood gushing out of corpses and people collapsing to the ground. I could hear the gunshots being fired and the people shouting. It was very dirty and a bit muddy but it didn’t matter. I took a deep breath and inhaled a bunch of dust. The painful sound of the bullets scared me. As I tried to slowly crawl away, Someone landed dead in front of me. I gagged at the rancid smell of the dead corpse and went around it. I got up and started to stealthily walked. I could see bloody dead corpses in ditches half buried and people slowly dying.

Thank you!

Technology!

Today, My class, Room 6 had Technology. Technology is when you learn about other things than Math, Literacy and other subjects. You learn about science and cooking and design etc. Today we learnt about electricity. Our Teacher, Mr Heath had this device where you turn the handle around and the inside would make some sort of electricity and if you hold the two wires, the electricity will bounce from the wire to your hand and will go through your whole body. If you hold hands with someone, that electricity will go from the wire to you and to the next person. That was just one activity!

Our second activity was making key chains out of acrylic! Acrylic is a type of plastic. We had to use the acrylic to make a key chain. The acrylic has paper on the outside of it so that you can write on it and plan out what it is gonna look like. After you do that, you start cutting. We used a coping saw to cut it because a coping saw has a small blade, small enough to cut a thin piece of acrylic. After you have cut out your shape, you can choose what to do with it after. I chose to use this hot surface thing to melt the middle to twist it. And I wrote my name so it looked awesome!

I had a very fun time at Tech and I can't wait to go again!
